About the Role

We're looking for a hands-on, reliable individual to join our team as a Data Center Technician at our Grand Falls facility. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for someone with skilled hands who enjoys working with technology, is good at solving problems, and being part of a fast-paced technical environment. You'll work as part of our existing team learning about high-performance computing equipment and achieving valuable skills in data center operations, while also helping to maintain our warehouse facility.

This is a full-time position requiring availability from Monday through Friday, including the occasional outside hours availability. You will report directly to the Senior Data Center Technician as part of a small team. We value self-motivated individuals who take initiative while understanding when to escalate issues and collaborate with the broader team.

Job Description

Daily Operations

  • Monitor equipment performance and environmental conditions
  • Respond to system alarms and alerts in a timely manner
  • Communicate with our remote operating team about ongoing repairs/issues and the general operation of the site
  • Perform basic maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs on computing equipment and state of the art liquid immersion data center systems
  • Conduct regular facility inspections and document findings
  • Any other duties as assigned by management

Hands-On Technical Work

  • Install and organize equipment in tanks and racks
  • Organise and manage cabling infrastructure
  • Assist with equipment upgrades and replacements
  • Maintain clean and organized workspace following data center best practices

Warehouse Maintenance

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse facility
  • Perform general handyman tasks and minor repairs
  • Organize equipment and supplies
  • Keep work areas clean and safe

Safety & Compliance

  • Follow safety protocols and procedures
  • Maintain accurate logs and documentation
  • Report any equipment issues promptly

What We're Looking For

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort working with your hands
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to manage tasks independently
  • Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Willingness to learn and take on new challenges
  • Clear communication skills

Nice to Have

  • Basic understanding of electrical systems
  • Experience with computers or IT equipment
  • Previous work in industrial, manufacturing, or technical settings
  • Familiarity with HVAC or cooling systems
  • Handyman or general maintenance experience
  • AWP Operator Certification

Requirements

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Outlook and Word mainly)
  • Valid Driver’s Licence
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a physically demanding environment
  • Ability to adapt to working hours from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, matching our team's operating schedule
  • Be on call from time to time outside normal working hours.
